Made You Look: How Advertising Works and Why You Should Know
This book explains how advertising works and how advertisers manipulate people to buy their products. Not only do advertisers make you want to buy their particular brand, they also persuade the audience to buy the product, even if you don't need it. Advertisers make people feel insecure by using impossibly beautiful, skinny models for adverts. This book really helps put things into perspective. Not only does it point out the evils in adverts, but it also shows you how to combat it.
