Made You Look: How Advertising Works and Why You Should Know

" Made you look" is a very informative book. I learnt quite a bit about the history of advertising, and the way that it works.I liked the way that this book was laid out, although some parts of it were a bit dry. This book has made me more aware of the advertising that happens all around me. I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to be more informed about the world around them.

This book was informative, but a little boring. I could tell the author tried to relate it to teenage lives, but it was a little outdated with the pop culture references. But, it did make me think twice when I saw an ad on a bus stop of billboard. I could see more clearly who the ad was targeted towards and some techniques the advertisers used. All in all very informative but not very exciting or interesting.

The book Made You Look. From reading it I learned lots about how advertising works and how the different advertising companies get their message out to you. I like this book because it is good reference material. It has many, many interesting facts in it that give you awareness about advertising techniques and how far companies go to try and grab a person's attention. The book is laid out well, all the chapters are in good sequence. I would rate this book higher but I think it is more of a good fact and reference book. Personally I enjoy a chapter book with a story. So in all it’s an all right book, and I recommend reading it, but I don’t think it is a book for an award.
