Don Trembath
Don Trembath was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the third youngest of four boys. He graduated from the University of Alberta with an English degree and wrote for weekly and daily newspapers, local and national magazines, and other trade publications. Currently, he teaches writing at MacEwan College in Edmonton, and regularly visits schools and libraries across the country.
Trembath once said, “I started writing stories when I was about ten or eleven. I would leave them on the dining room table and my mom and dad and all my brothers would pick them up and read them. Then they would tell me what they thought and ask if I was doing any more. That kind of support and encouragement is crucial to a writer... I think all young people should have the opportunity and encouragement to write.”
He lives in the town of Morinville, Alberta with his wife, Lisa, his three young kids, three laid back cats, and his neighbour's big dog.
