Margaret Buffie

Margaret Buffie was born and raised in Winnipeg. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba and worked as illustrator, high school art teacher, and painter. Since 1985 she has written nine teen novels and won a number of awards for her work. Currently, she lives in Winnipeg during the winter and Northwestern Ontario during the summer. She claims that writing is something she just felt compelled to do.
