Maureen Hull
Maureen Hull has written critically acclaimed poetry, short stories, picture books, and one novel, this year’s Stellar nominee The View From a Kite. However, she has not always been a writer. During her university years in Halifax, Hull worked in the Neptune Theatre’s costume department, and afterwards spent over twenty years fishing lobsters off Nova Scotia’s Pictou Island. For seven of those years she home-schooled her two daughters. Hull has been writing since 1992.
