Teresa Toten
Born in Zagreb, Yugoslavia, Teresa Totem immigrated to Canada when she was just thirteen days old! Her first book, The Onlyhouse was quite autobiographical.
Her first professional aspiration was to become a mermaid, but she went on to complete an M.A. in Political Science. She has traveled extensively and lived in Montreal, Ottawa, New York and now resides in Toronto.
It wasn't until after the birth of her second daughter that she decided to write.
