The Black Sheep

Teen Reviews

Tis was a really great book. But I hardly think that any of this would happen. But if so I hope it would be mean. This book shows how you say and do things without thinking. But yet even if it was a bad idea in time you will not regret it later on. Because with all the mistakes you do you would not get or fell the way you do without them.

This book was a good short read. Though the plot line was kind of predictable and it wasn't exactly thought provoking, it's underlying message was clear to the reader. Think before you act. I liked the author's writing style, it was easy to skim through the book without having to pause and re-read. I probably would've chosen this book even if it weren't on the stellar awards list because the title is intriguing. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for something to read over the weekend

The Black Sheep is an interesting book, but not necessarily in a good way. There were just to many unnatural things that happened, like the relationship between Kendra and Mitch, and the whole sea otter campaign. First, why would a high school graduate fall for an immature 15 year old brat? It's just so unlikely. Also, Kendra being so obsessed with sea otters. I mean, it's good to want to help the environment, but how could a rich New Yorker just go all hippie-like so fast? The only part I really liked was the insightful look at reality television. Overall, I feel that the not-so-good parts outweigh the good parts, and I give this book 4 stars.

I really enjoyed this book, it had an interesting, well developed storyline and crazy, realistic characters. The main character is confused, timid and unsure at the beginning, changing into a strong, leader-type character who stands up for herself and pushes to get what she wants. All under the pressure of some pretty nasty antagonists. The author does a good job with her antagonists, makes you really hate them.

This book is about a 15 year old girl and her journey through fame with a director that will do anything for good reviews. I didn't think this was a vey good book. For one, the romance between the main character, Kendra Bishop from New York, and one of the other characters from the new family, is way too quick and pretty unrealistic. Espessialy since Kendra is 15 and the boy is 18 and has just graduated from high school. Two, there are long parts where it just gets boring. All in all, I give this book 3 stars. I, myself, would not recomend this book.

This was the second Stellar book I read, and one of the best books I have read in a long time. I love that it breaks the sterotype of the rich New York teen. It also gives you a real look into the world of reality telivision. This book has action, romance, passion, love, lies and betrayl. Its a fantastic book that almost everyone can relate to in one way or another. A MUST read!!!!!!
