The New and Improved Vivien Leigh Reid: Diva in Control

Teen Reviews

The new and improved Vivien Leigh Reid: Diva in control, was a great book. When I first picked up the book, I was worried that I might not be able to understand it, given the fact that I hadn't read the first two books, but I was proven wrong. The book started off fast paced and exciting. It tells the story of a 17 year old girl, who's mother is set to marry a hollywood producer. The man is sweet and kind, and perfect for her mother, aside from his two daughters. His youngest daughter, Sasha, was an ex co-star of Leigh's. The two can't stand each other and Sasha continuously tries to get Leigh to leave L.A. It's very... Cinderella like in that aspect. Leigh also lands a spot on a new hit T.V show, Freak Force. There, she encounters love, challenges with sexist co-stars, a nut head director/writer/producer and a warthog costume that makes her look like she's about 300 pounds. Because of all that's going on, it's a little bit hard to follow at some parts. The book also has a surprise ending that will have you laughing so hard you'll cry. It has its faults, but overall a great read.

The New and Improved Vivien Leigh Read: diva in control, was a great book. I thought it was suspenseful, intelligent and close to real life. People sometimes get it easier than others but that doesn't mean that they are bratty (most of them). It showed how Vivien tried to prove she belonged on Freak Force. I would definitely read it again and read the other books in the series.
